So, my mother is in town! (Yay! I love it when she's here!) and she's a big time organizer and clean-freak so when she comes to my house she must feel either overwhelmed by my clutter or overjoyed that she has projects to tackle! Anyway, we went through all the rooms and made trash bag after trash bag of clothing to give to Goodwill. I was even able to create bags of clothes to give a couple of friends for their children. Despite all that spring cleaning that we got done, I don't really feel that my house is any different. Hmm. Not sure why either.
Today, after I dropped off C to preschool we worked on the kitchen. I could not believe how dusty my kitchen was. It was disgusting. I never really climbed on top of my counters and peeked at the top of my cabinets -- perhaps now I know why I never did. It was dust bunny heaven! Needless to say, I feel accomplished and now my kitchen is clear of dust and dirt and whatever else we tossed in the trash!
Oh and here's another thing -- my husband is officially fired from using the carpet cleaner! (I haven't told him this yet, but he'll hear it soon.) My carpet cleaner is wonderful and still brand new and when I went to go use it today, I found that the water was never dumped so it smelled beyond gross and the hair that gets trapped in there was just bleh! Not sure if he thinks a carpet cleaner is a vacuum cleaner as well -- tsk tsk tsk! But alas, I got it some fresh clean water, filled the soap container and created a masterpiece of carpet cleaner lines in my bedroom! Now that's just relaxing to hear, isn't it? Now if anyone goes and walks in my room before it drys so help me! :)
