Can I have those... the big ones... when I'm bigger?

As I was putting something away in the kitchen, I hear my four year old daughter, C (who is sitting on the couch in the living room) ask me a question. I walk over to her and she asks this:

{c} Mommy, can I have those when I get bigger?

I turn around to see what she is talking about and all that is behind me is mugs hanging on the wall. With a puzzled look, I ask:

{mommy} Huh? You want what when you get bigger?

{c} Those!

Again, I turn around to look behind me because I have no idea what she is wanting.

{mommy} The mugs? Yes, when you get bigger, you can drink out of a mug.

{c} No, those! Can I have those... the big ones... when I'm bigger?

{mommy} I don't know what you want. Show Mommy what you want. Can you point to it?

She puts her hands on her chest and rubs and says,

{c} These! Right here! Can I have those when I'm bigger?

I had no idea what to say so I just yelled for my husband unaware of what to tell our daughter. He comes up and we replay the whole conversation again and my husband just hides his laughter and turns around and heads downstairs.

I never would have thought that 'those' questions would start at the young age of four.

I remember when she was about 3, maddy asking me if she would have a hairy "butt" like mine. I am sure you can see where that question was leading LOL
