I found love... in a trashcan

Yup, you read right! I found love in a trashcan. Okay, okay, let me explain. I have had this sick obsession with finding a trashcan for our kitchen. Not some cheap-o kind to replace the cheap-o kind that I already have but something nice. A while back, we looked into those fancy schmancy motion trashcans (my friend has one and it is pretty cool . You just hold your hand out in front of it and it just magically opens, but honestly, if I had one, I'd probably spend a lot of time just waving my hand at it in amazement) and I was turned away that they were plugged in or required batteries. That's just too high tech for me. After searching high and low, I came upon this beauty at Wal-Mart.
You're oooh-ing and ahhh-ing, aren't you?!

After months of scoping it out I decided to bite the bullet and purchase it. Who cares what it cost! It's be-you-tif-ful! (I told you I was sick!) I debated on whether or not I should tell my travelling hubby about my latest purchase. It took me a whole 3 hours before I blurted out, "Guess what I bought?" His first question, "How much was it?" After we went back and forth on, "Do you want to know what it cost before tax or after?" (I could sense he wasn't thrilled with my sarcasm) With tax it came to $74. Isn't that insane? $74 for a trashcan!! It's a bit steep, but it's exactly what I was looking for and look at it... be-you-tif-ful! I sent my hubby a picture text of this beaut and although he said it was nice, he just couldn't understand why I thought it would be okay to spend $74 on a trashcan. I have no excuse.. I just couldn't stand looking at the stupid white trashcan that didn't match a single thing in our kitchen but the milk.

Oh and this is completely a random act from my 2 year old son, but he went up to the trashcan, gave it a hug and said, "I lub you, trash" Although, I didn't have my camera at that particular moment, I had him do it again so that I could get a picture of it!
It's love!
