At four o'clock today, Caymin and I had a date! Our date didn't start until 6 pm, but since it was in Tampa, we wanted to be sure that we would make it on time and not get stuck in rush hour traffic. Today, I surprised Caymin and took her to see her first ballet competition at the Performing Arts Center in Tampa. Wow, such amazing talent!

Once inside, my brother's girlfriend, Maria took Caymin backstage where Caymin got to see the girls getting ready for their competitions. She got to see them get their hair and makeup done and see the costumes. Unfortunately, I was not allowed backstage because I didn't have a "name tag."  Bummer, right?! I really wanted to see that stuff, too! Maybe my day will come soon where I can witness the 'behind the scenes.'

While Caymin did that, I sat down in the theatre and watched a handful of the girls and guys perform variations. Amazing! Simply amazing! I have never been to a ballet (well, none that I can recall) and I truly enjoyed watching them. They make it look so easy! But who am I kidding, it hurts for me to even try to touch my toes.

Once Caymin and Maria came back, we got to watch Maria's daughter, Tatiana perform. Once again, WOW! This little girl is 12 years old, gorgeous -- I can't stress that enough, she is gorgeous and she got those gorgeous looks from her mother -- and talented beyond belief! I felt honored to watch her perform on stage!

And to make the day even better...

Tatiana was just as excited to see Caymin as Caymin was to see Tatiana
