Happy (early) Valentine's Day!
Today, my daughter had her Valentine's Day party at school. Weeks prior, I got a jump start on the valentine's. I was not going to be a last-minute-mom this year. No way. I'm last minute on so many things that I figured I might as well get the job done earlier and reduce the stress of rushing around the night before.
Usually, I'm pretty creative and could come up with a clever design, but this year I found a super cute, super simple idea in one of the mags that I subscribe to. I'm thinking it was either Parents, Parenting or BH&G. Anyway, here's what I created.
Pretty cute, right? I also thought it was fitting since I know C is delighted to have new friends! Hence "Bursting with happiness!"
So glad that I was able to check that off of my to-do list!
Now, back to today. In a panic, I decided to quickly do my daughter's hair (20 minutes before we are to head out the door). A few days ago, a friend of mine mentioned that this particular hair style would be cute for C. My first thought was that it was cute, but looked like it would require too much of my time. But this morning, apparently, I felt that I needed a challenge when I was running short on time. (Yes, I'm time-management challenged!)
Needless to say, mission completion!
I love how it turned out! The original picture (found on pinterest) had three hearts. C said that everyone loved her hair and of course, that made my day!
