Day 4: Strangers

A shopping mall -- What a perfect place to find strangers! And I swear, I didn't go to the mall just to take strange(r) pictures. Today was actually a planned trip (prior to me even knowing what the photo challenge for day four was.)

The whole family (well, minus one -- yes, Dan, I'm referring to you) met up at International Mall in Tampa for gelato. What the hell is gelato? That was my first thought when I heard that word. It sounds all fancy. To me, it looks like ice cream. It even tastes like ice cream or frozen yogurt or frozen custard -- hell, they all taste the same to me.

They're all cold and if eaten too quickly will result in a frozen headache -- true story.

Here's a tip:
If a frozen headache sneaks up on ya,
place your tongue on the roof of your mouth for a bit.

Maria and my mom rave about it. They have even told me that so-and-so has the best gelato! 'Ummm, okay,' is my thought.

Anyway, we go to Gelateria Del Duomo (don't worry, I can't pronounce it either). I look at that name and think a gallery of gelato? Is it italian? Pssh, I have no clue. It's at International Mall and a lot of things in this mall are.... wait for it.... international!

Long story short, there are lots of different flavors of gelato. It's kind of set up like an ice cream shop, but fancier. You can sample them all and then make a decision. I ended up getting the Banana Caramel. Holy yum! That was delish! It's light, so you don't feel like you need to unbutton your pants after you eat an entire cup. I'd definitely go again!
