In our neighborhood, there are a group of neighbors that actually do this. Every so often, I'll receive a treat in my mailbox. Sometimes it's brownies, sometimes it's cookies, sometimes it's yummy, delicious chocolate pound cake (so heavenly!!) and sometimes it's oreo balls (haha, I couldn't resist giggling.. I mean, oreo bonbons (inside joke -- for those who are raising any eyebrow)
So, I felt like it was my turn. Last week I went to Wal*Mart and a Betty Crocker cookie mix caught my eye: Pumpkin Spice cookies. Umm, YUM! Of course I bought it! My daughter claims that she doesn't eat cookies unless they have chocolate chips in them; so we purchased chocolate chips, too!
Fast forward to baking time... follow the directions, throw in the morsels and put them in the oven for about 8 minutes. While I was on my second batch, I thought it would be fun to decorate the bags a little bit. It didn't take me long to design my bag toppers, as my idea was already present before I sat down at my computer!
The finished product:
My daughter and I made our bags and proceeded to hand deliver them to our friends.
The result from each and every one: delicious!
So, with that, I thank you, Betty Crocker (and the cheap brand of chocolate chips that I bought -- it wouldn't be the same without you) for creating such a yummy cookie mix! You rock!
